Three Months In
It's been a very busy start to the year between the weekly Let's Face It lessons, tweaking my website(all shiny'n'new!) as well as trying to make the work reflect who I am along this crazy art journey, I feel like I've been pulled in a bunch of directions and frankly, I'm ready for Winter to be over and have a bit of a break. Good thing there's a trip to the UK in the offing.
In the meantime however, I'd like to show some of the work I'm particularly proud of:
I was lucky enought to win the BIG "Bahoona Kahoona" Package (maybe NOT the legit title of the contest) from Ampersand Art and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with: 4 Aquabord Cradleboards, 4 Claybord Cradlebords and 4 Gesso'd Cradleboards. So. SO lucky! I'm trying really, REALLY hard not to just pet them where they're sitting in the corner of the studio and, y'know, actually USE them. [ASIDE: Why is it so hard for we, artists to use the Good Stuff?!?! We deserve it dammit!] I've been thinking of doing a series cuz I LOVE a good series. Three by four, maybe? Or even have a giant series, and a subset for each type? Though right now that feels a bit overwhelming and, geez, life is overwhelming enough. And while I still don't have a concrete notion I'm not in any hurry.
In the meantime, I'll be sending out a Newsletter with new works when I return from my trip in early April. Hope you have a good Spring break!
