Tried. But didn't make it.
Sometimes you think your work is All That And A Bag of Chips. And sometimes, it isn't.
I thought this painting would be perfect for a local Spring show and maybe I should listen to Tom cuz HE didn't think it embodied "Spring" and/or regeneration. But I gotta tell you, this woman and her cabbages? Makes me want to get out and get my hands in the dirt and GROW shit! (aka the title is LET'S GROW! Yes. All caps!) I want fresh vegetables from my garden. I want to put seeds and plants in the ground and tend them. I want to pick big juicy cabbages. In short? I want to be HER.
But. I guess the jury didn't get the memo. And that's okay. A finished painting (or fresh cabbages!) are never in vain.
