Originating from a Let’s Face It 2026 lesson — a watercolour portrait cut and mounted to a new substrate — this low-angle portrait came packed with capital-A attitude. To match her energy, I set her against a grunged-up piece of studio plywood. Pulling from my assemblage roots, she is linked to the panel with small jewelry chains, nails, and a handmade hanging chain. The title Heavy Rotation riffs on high-volume DJ tracks, the physical weight of the mixed media, and the steady rhythm of a daily painting practice. Whererever she hangs,she'll give you INSTANT cred!
