Well. Okay. Maybe they've actually gotten worse. I swear. The world has gone mad. Absolutely stark raving bonkers. After my last post there was a flurry of gel print making. My studio drowned, under piles of paper. I will have enough collage material for the rest of my life. As the studio calendar above indicates, the space was vacated once the weather became steady. And outside I've remained. Because playing in the dirt is really the only thing that makes sense to me these days. Food. Flowers. And on these hot sultry summer afternoons? Lazing in my floatie in the the middle of the lake. Maybe when the cooler weather returns, the studio will again beckon. In the meantime, my friends, stay safe, play in the dirt and if you have to head out into the world? Wear your damn mask....
Totally lost track. I think yesterday was Easter. I think we had ham on Saturday. Close enough. To keep myself occupied - plus art = therapy - I've been working through something called Sketchbook Revival . Put on by Karen Abend  for a few years now, it features 12 days of online classes, 2 per day, by an eclectic group of artists. New skills. Here are some of my journal pages.  Also. I'm almost finished my sketchbook/journal. Hell to the yah! ...
I sat down yesterday to write a post. All bubbly and happy and promote-y about some new Things, Trinkets, Fripperies in my shop. And in case, you've been living under a rock (aka Social Distancing now) the world slammed the door ...with vigor... leaving the We Are Closed sign swinging back and forth. Back and forth. I am NOT a media whore. I rarely if ever listen, read, watch The News. If something important is happening either Tom fills me in or I catch a snippet on Instagram or Facebook. And that's enough. Because frankly, in my neck of the woods very little actually pertains To Me. And sure. You can call me an ignorant tit but truly. How much do we really need to know? Until yesterday, I've been rather oblivious to the whole Corona thing. Well. As much as one can with a husband who tends to be rather ..erm.. reactionary to such things. But yesterday? The world ...MY world... blew up. Every other Instagram post was about #washyourhands #socialdistancing #closed  #p...
